Hi All,
I have what is probably an unusual question - but I've just bought a Toyota Yaris Verso 1.3 (which I really like ) yet would like it to go longer per liter of fuel ... Any of you know if it's possible to "chip tune" something in the Yaris so that it is more fuel economic?
Thanks for any insights

What if you had a fuel/ignition controller - http://www.aemelectronics.com/products/programmable-engine-management-systems/fuel-ignition-controller/fic-6 would this allow you to tune the engine for more power or fuel economy?

And it's only meant for turbo or supercharged engines anyway. So of zero relevance to the original question.

Generally Toyota ECUs are locked, so not good for chip mods. But it looks like the man in Puerto Rico had found a way to crack the Yaris ECU. [emoji106]

Yes they are getting cracked already, Fuel, pulsation, Dual VVTI, timing and RPM limit is possible... right know my rev limiter is at 7,100. I'm running an XD ECU but all 2004+ OBD2 can be reflashed

We've heard of the Puerto Rican ghost before. Not likely you'll learn anything in this thread.
