After a long drive, when I decelerate, at about 1000 rpms there is a pulsing sound. The sound itself decelerates and stops with the vehicle speed, if that makes sense. It sounds like Curly from the 3 Stooges — that's the only way I can describe it. "Woob woob woob woob woob." :iono:

The sound isn't very apparent when the car is first driven, but after a 70 mile commute and pulling into the parking lot at work it is quite loud.

I do NOT have to press on the brakes for this sound to happen, although that certainly helps me reach the 1000 rpms.

Shop thought it might be a stuck brake caliper and a warped rotor, but they think it might be the transmission.

Any ideas? :)

your link doesn't work for me.

But you're probably just hearing the exhaust reverb. As the engine comes down on fuel cut, it comes to a point around 1000 or so RPM where fuel needs to turn back on and you sometimes get a bit of a lean mixture poping in the exhaust system.
