I have an mp3 cd player I'm trying to get rid of. I'll sell it pretty cheap. OM me for details.

If you want to stay cheap, please resist the urge to get an inexpensive DVD in dash deck. It'll break right away.

I'd recommend get a used deck from a friend. Just get a brand that you've heard of. Heck, you can even get a brand new MP3 deck for under $100.

I bet you the stock radio's aren't that cheap. They may only deter theft, lol. What do you presently have BTY.

nothing. I just got one on ebay for 60 dollars with shipping. Its for a corrolla but it will fit. I think most of the new 2006-2007 radios a pretty much the same in dimension but Im not real sure on the plugs in the back. hopefully if everything is right Ill just slide it in. if not I go to the junk yard and get a corolla wiring harness and splice it in.. I dont understand why eveyone junks the stock units for those aftermarket head units that dont fill up the hole and dont really do that much better of a job.

Well, there's more to a deck than "filling a hole." Aftermarket decks have many more features than a stock deck. (Not familiar with your Corolla deck) Let me list a few things many aftermarket decks have that a stock deck doesn't necessarily have.
-Mp3, WMA, AAC playback
-More power for the speakers
-Ability to easily hook up amplifiers and subwoofer
-Cheaper and/or available accessories, like satellite radio.
-Better iPod/music player control
-Easier to hook up a changer.

If most of those things aren't important to you, a stock deck is "good enough." IIRC, Scion decks offer more power, MP3 playback, RCA outputs, and will still fill your hole.

Here's (http://cgi.ebay.ca/07-TOYOTA-SCION-TC-CD-RADIO-SHARP-LOOK-A10_W0QQitemZ120119652131QQihZ002QQcategoryZ38641Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) a Scion deck, although it is too expensive.

You ought to visit a general Toyota website like Toyota Nation and ask which decks fit which cars.

Buckeye, so your car didn't come with any deck? Do you have the radio block-off plate (a black, plastic piece) instead? If so, the plate is held there with the stock radio bracket, which you'll need for another Toyota deck.

Don't worry, you'll be able to find one that fits. Another idea is visit junkyards and get one straight out of another Yaris hatch. That way you'll know it'll fit for sure.

Why don't you visit Crutchfield? They'll tell you which after market radio fits and they even throw all the accessories need it
