i was planning on installing an alarm on my 07 yaris sedan. testing the 12v constant on the ignition but stupid me plugged the red wire on the mulitimeter on 10a max.i heard a short and checked everything after. power windows, cigarette lighter, reverse lights, climate control, power mirrors, turn signals, wipers, radio stopped working. checked the fuses for those and they are still good. lights turns on high beams too and parking lights. the car starts. power doors works. domelight works. brake lights works. HELP!! what could be wrong?

Need someone with an EWD to post what the main fuses are.

Check the fuses under the hood. There's also some fuseable links on the batter + lead I think.

I've checked the fusible link.look at the 60a and 120a fuses and they look like they're still intact. one thing i worry about is...could it be the ecu itself? i was testing the 12v yellow constant from the ignition and then i heard a pop or short circuit while im in there. when started the abs and p/s lights stays on.

Electrical Wiring Diagram.

Did you test the fuses with a volt meter?

found the culprit. it was the am1 fuse inside the car. 25 amp.

Much better than blowing a fusible link.
