I have seen many, many tutorials on sound proofing every part the yaris exceot for the rear door.

Why is this. This is where most of the road noise comes into my 2 door yaris. Its just a hollow cavity with a flimsy plastic cover that resonates sound and rattles with the subwoofer on.

Has anyone tried to remove panel. If so any pics on how to remove without destroying would be appreciated.

yeah absolutely. i mass loaded the hatch with. just have to get around the sharp metal after taking off the plastic cover. You may want to upgrade the hatch struts after putting that extra weight. but i went overboard with deadening.

I decide to pull off plasitic,it was quite easy.I will deaden this weekend weather permitting.Lots of resonance comming from that hollow space I think.

the panel is held on with nothing but clips....any sound system sound deadening will be fine and makes a big differance on road noise.
