New "Yaris" sedan.

How could TOYOTA didn't bring us the current real YARIS / VIOS sedan here in the U.S and instead we get this "Yaris" that it is just a MAZDA Demio (Mazda 2)?

I was hoping to see a TOYOTA engine under the hood, but that engine is not TOYOTA and it has no codes or engine model designations to trace engine manufacturer. Engine valve cover sure looks like the ones on FORD ZeTec engines.

I agree. I'd be livid if I bought one of those things and found out it's a rebadged Mazda. Mazda 3's around here that are 5 years old or less are so rotted out it's not even funny. I can only imagine this little turd will do just the same.

I thought the mazda 2 was made in spain with a Japanese wiring harness? I thought the fiesta was the Mexican version?

And unfortunately it's been ugly-fied by Toyota. But most toyotas are like that now. That front end is just.... ugh.
