Yaris T1 2007 Knocking Sound

Hi Guys, i have a 2007 Yaris T1 1.0, recently started hearing a knocking sound, i have searched the forum, tried changing the oil (No Change), took it to a mechanic but he says that he would need to strip in order to diagnose the issue, i have posted vids on youtube so that you guys can hear the sound.

possible A/C, Timing chain, big ends,

can you give more information on when it started, did it get progressively worse etc.

by a/c you mean aircon? it started softer but yes it has gotten worst

Wow, if that's internal, just source a replacement engine .

Guys just an update, i added an oil treatment to the engine and the noise has softened up abit, i posted a video https://youtu.be/nMOuFeJ2d5A , 1 of the mechs suggested it is probably the lifters.

There are no lifters. It's direct cam on bucket.
