Had to replace the rear wiper blade today. Local Toyota dealers and independent parts stores don't sell a simple rubber insert, and aftermarket blades are more expensive than the OEM part.

Online prices for the OEM blade (with shipping) are more expensive than just buying directly from the local dealer... which is just under $10. After talking to the guy at the Toyota parts counter, I got it for $7 plus tax. Took about 10 seconds to remove the old blade and install the new one.

I bought a Trico "Exact Fit" 12A from RockAuto for $4.64. It was indeed an exact fit, but I noticed the plastic texture wasn't an exact match. The Toyota arm has sort of a pebbled texture, while the Trico is smooth. I wound up stealing the rubber from the Trico, and inserting it into the original Toyota arm. It fits fine.

I replaced the rear wiper on my 3rd gen with a 16 inch blade. These are available as Trico 16a or Tridon TRB010. You then have a car with one 28 inch blade and one 16 inch blade. This is a common pack set of replacement blades, and you get more screen area wiped on the back window.

Confirmed a 16 inch rear wiper will fit the third gen Yaris. I used a Autozone Duralast 16A wiper blade and it leaves about a half inch gap from the top of the rear window.
