I'm sure there's a lot of people here that have Echos... Specially in the US.

Any experiences you want to share? I must say that i'm new to this Coupe model and I want to make the most out of your stories or info like: modifications, troubleshooting, DIY's, what you like and what you don't, autox, racing... even funny stories too!

Right now my car is a little beaten up, has some engine and suspension issues, but it still gets me from point A to point B pretty well. I want to bring it back to a good shape first, mend all it's failures and then make it a project car, like a daily driver that can be used on autox or on the track and to grab some groceries as well.

I know this is a Yaris forum, but since 1st gen Yaris and Echos are basically the same car, I think this is the place where I can gather the most information of them (apart from Toyotanation and Toyota Owners Club:biggrin: ).

And if there's a thread already.... Do please provide the link for it.

Nice! Gotta love the color:clap:

I'm sure that black mess in the front bumper will buff out, right? pretty messed up with snow for sure.

Mine has 226k miles on the clock, more or less. That's about 358000km. But it runs rather nice on the highway. Gotta fix some engine stuff... And fix the looks of course:big grin:

And this was my late drive, and my first car... Suffered some exterior changes from time to time. But no matter what the changes were, it still looked good though:cool:

mine has only 134k. i got it used at around 117k, but it was mechanically sound when i got her. since then i've just been doing oil-changes and i had an issue with the engine idling too high, but that has figured itself out(a year AFTER i took it into toyota service and $500 less in my pockets for them to tell me they weren't really sure).

anyways, it's been very reliable transportation and i've now got to get the clutch fixed, but that's my fault.
