Well we got belted last night and today with almost 3-8 inches (depending on which area of the county you were in) of snow and sleet, freezing rain. My '13 LE 4-Door with older General Altimax HP tires halfway through their life cycle did "incredible".
If you are a good driver and understand how snow and ice work on roadways and the do's and dont's, I am telling you, the Yaris is one of the best snow cars out there.
I could not get it to lose traction or slip. It climbed an icy, snow covered steep hill from a stop with no trouble.
The only thing that would give it trouble is very deep roughed-up snow where plows had piled it up at intersections, the ground clearance would be an issue,,,,,but it fought it's way on through quietly and kept going.
Do not be afraid to drive these little buggers in the wintry stuff, but don't go crazy either.
