so it looks as thought we'll be picking up and moving from Waterloo, ON, Canada to the Grand Rapids area of Michigan. We'll be moving mid-May.

Going to import the echo...so if you see me around Michigan, you know its me.

Congrats.

In respect to importing the Echo, everything I've read from guys around here has pointed to importing being a nightmare. Is your Echo past the required age for nightmare status, or?

there's 4 echo hatchbacks I know of in CT. I can't imagine it being very hard.

I've seen a 1st gen HB in GR with Michigan plates, so it shouldn't be impossible. It falls under grey market importing, if I'm not mistaken. http://www.michigan.gov/sos/0,4670,7-127-48268_48268-179823--F,00.html

its an 04. MI is a pretty lax state of everything....im not seeing an issue

Nice! I just graduated from GVSU in '14. I'm currently in Grand Haven, but it's only about 30 minutes to GR, less to Allendale.

ya, timing isnt great...but the housing market in k-w is insane...so i'm hoping we do well on our house

then losing 35% changing it to USD

My congrats on your moving despite the fact that it happened long ago :) My gf and I are going to move to Spain from Canada so I am also very excited but not sure when it all is going to happen.
