Hi Guys !

It has been a while, and I was hoping I could get some pro advice.

I am running a 1KRFE and this car has served me almost 9 years now with
no major issues except a broken Tranny because of another idiot.

Now the problem I am having is the car seems to have issues starting, and then when started in Idle it is super rough, and almost like it wants to die.
The heat climbs steady and the electric fan will go on.

After a bit of mixed driving up and down in the streets with no trafic day or night it starts to ping \ detonate most prob. and over heat warning will come on, loss of power as well of course.

So me and a friend checked out a few things.
My ODBII computer did not have any error codes, no engine light on either.
The live readings seems normal and we cant find anything particular.

We did come across a sensor, and probably the MAP sensor that is sitting at -40c ar intake as it is combined if I am not mistaken, we did a few tests on it and it is definitely detected.

I cannot see any issues with a head gasket being blown either, there are no tell tale issues here as far as I can see.

Any other suggestions I can try ?

Thanks in advanced !
And its great to see this forum still up and about.

You mean -40c ? Or 40c?
Cause -40c it's not normal if you are not living in North Pole :p
What about the radiator fluids? Did you checked them??
