January, 2017 Yaris Liftback sales were up—way up—vs. 2016. Toyota moved 142.7% more Yaris Liftbacks this year than last. Total sales were still only 1,330. FYI, Yaris Liftback did outsell the Prius c (1,143 units), but the Yaris iA sedan sold better than the liftback (1,951 units).

The new Toyota Yaris iA, which was the Scion iA, which was actually just a Mazda 2 lol.

It certainly is one of the ugliest cars on the road.

Have to agree with you. The first time I saw one on the road with its square wheel-wells, fenders and huge wheel-gap, I was like WTF. It also wins a prize for goofiest alloy wheel design.

I must be seriously out-of-tune with most people, because the better selling cars on that list (in terms of raw units sold per month) are just awful to me. Of course, nothing on that list appeals to me really outside of a Yaris SE, CX-3 Touring/Grand-Touring or MX-5 Miata RF.

Also agree. Sometimes I wish I would have gotten the blue instead. I like the clean, contrasting look of white, but the blue SE is just SEXY, and blends nicely with the alloy wheel design, front design, etc.

I'm sure Toyota has a deal with Mazda to buy a certain quantity of iA's annually, so they are forced to stock and try to sell them - unlike the Toyota-made Yaris.

3 years working at the same Toyota dealership...haven't sold a single Yaris hatchback yet. I've sold 2 or 3 Scion iA/Yaris iA. Sold a lot more Prius c in one year than the three (iA twins and Yaris hatch) combined in all 3 years. Sold more Prius LB than I want to know (just a fun fact). LOL.

lol. I know, that's why Europe doesn't get the Aqua/Prius c since they have an actual Yaris HSD. But for my numbers sake, I'm keeping each model completely separate, so I'm still waiting to sell a Yaris hatch. haha

I believe I've sold at least one of every (recent) model Toyota/Scion new or pre-owned, with the exception of the Yaris hatch, Scion iQ, and Scion xB

I personally love the Renegade. It'll probably be my next car. But of course, looks are subjective.

I hardly ever see any new Yaris Liftbacks around here. If I do, they're generally rentals. I do, however, see a lot of Yaris iA sedans.

Toyota offers a breakdown of Yaris Liftback, Yaris iA, and Prius c, hence why they're all broken out. Interestingly, if we combine Liftback and iA sales into one, we get 3,281 units. Keep in mind that Nissan does not break out Versa/Versa Note sales, they just report them as one (ditto that for Mitsubishi's Mirage, Hyundai's Accent, and Kia's Rio).
