HAY! since I have that thread in french on another forum I figured why not post the progress of it so far !
YES ! Venom² is its name since Venom was used for my ST182 Celica... that just ...died because of rust issues in the gas tank.....
anyway, it's a 2008 Yaris Hatchback LE where I ADDED (ebay kit) Yellow fogz.. like any jap cars.. xD
https://postimg.org/image/w7tgu713b/
I FINALLY FOUND the wheels I wanted after.... 5-6 months of searching : https://postimg.org/image/rt25a66k1/
BMW bottlecap 14" this will be my summer mags :)
in the back there is THIS badboy! :https://postimg.org/image/htfa9q6gn/
and for the (now on passenger seat) seat decoration : https://postimg.org/image/z5imopamf/
on all that, I changed my shift knob for a Mazda3 shift knob(with a 3.5" extender so it sits higher)[this pic doesn't have the 3.5 extender yet] http://postimg.org/image/x6ryt9t81/
I changed the radio antenna for a Matrix one (it basically reduced it in half) so it doesn't look much like an RC car now
I plan so much other things for example,
I ordered a filp key (euro styled modern car flip key) from ebay (expected to arrive in March) which I just need to swap the electronic of my stock key to the new one and match the blank key to mine,
I'm searching for a DURAFLEX Genesis rear bumper (not urgent... maybe with a coilover set that will go on my car AFTER my college years [yeah sucks to be broke])
some JDM Taillights (because they're so much better looking[or alternative#2 wrapping existing lights in a dark red to make it more uniform])
and for everyone's sake 1ZZ TB
Cold Air Intake or Short RAM Intake just to hear a bit more of the engine with the muffler delete (2" pipe with 2" tip exit) mod I plan to do...
in an ideal world:
2ZZ 6 speed straight cut gears (except the 6th) with turbo
but that most likely never happen for the swap ... so I'll stick with that for now....

Bottlecaps are on GoodYear INTEGRITY SL85S 185/65/14... ready to be mounted on the car as soon as the snow go away (it's technically Legal in Quebec to have summer tires but... I'm not taking any chances as long as there is snow on the ground...)

meh I'mma keep those stripes... if they fell off then I will not replace them, but for now I like them... I need to re do those headlights.. I know !! :(
and nope No center caps for them yet... I wish I could find some generic/no logo center caps to go there.. and since they are OEM E30 bottlecap BBS.. I doubt I can find something
"Wheels look good tho I wouldn't want to clean all those little spokes."
what do you mean ? you don't want me to repair my wheels ? sure it gives it some more character, but I feel the need to take them to an aluminum shop and repair them (plus 2/4 mags are not perfectly round... idiot previous owner did DRAG races with them... and I'm pretty sure he hit something.... maybe a sidewalk on the street or wathever... ) + they need some paint... it all chip here and there.. I tought of a WHITE paint but before painting, I want to refurbish them..

uhhh....i think he simply means that when the wheels get dirty, it would take a lot of time and effort to get all those spokes sqeeky clean. I would have to agree.
Wheels look good on the car.

my bad if I forgot you... I cant have pics right now
but really all you have to do is pop out the plastic panel (there's 6 or 7 clips holding it in place
remove that
after, you'll see the rear wiper mechanism.. I cant remmember right but I think there's 2 10mm and one 12mm holding it there
once this is done follow this tutorial from the SECOND picture : https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-diy-repair-maintenance/56562-jdm-wiper-mod.html

I bought the only one that was availableand listed for about 2 years on Ebay... redline is wrong tho (stops at 6k) well I have the 1.5... which stops at what? 6500? for the damn high price of 199EUROS + SHIPPING... I say I don't care... lol plus... that damn thing is very unique... pretty sure I,m the only one in canada with one of these

The yari's cluster is the same design as the 87 supra ;) just more accurate.
I have one, willing to sell, but I don't know about postage. I've removed it cos I had bought the analogue cluster from CTScott. I prefer seeing the rev counter going up :p
ACKING_QC
02-22-2018, 11:33 AM
hold on... is the rev limiter going to 7k or 6k like mine ?
also what kind of analog cluster do you have ?
and.. if anyone interested I have a canadian one with RPM (White backlit... instead of weird amber)

OMG where did you get that digital cluster? (fist I've seen it)
vivalaflam
02-22-2018, 11:59 AM
I bought the canadian cluster with rpm, and replaced the amber leds with white as well :p
Needles stayed red of course.
What I miss the most from the digital cluster is the ability to show outside temperature and live consumption.
Now, about the redline, it is set in your engine, unless you mean when the red part starts. It starts at 6k, because the actual redline is at 6300rpm. (If I remember correctly.) It's the same as the analogue one. If you're referring to up what number it can show, I think it's either 8 or 9k rpm
I can try finding pictures of it installed in the car if you want, as I have it stored in a closet at the moment.

It came from factory. Uses a VFD screen (that vintage green colour of old digital clocks?)

my"red part" starts at 5200.. or around that... and ends at 6000 the thing is, I don't think this is reprogrammable since it's not a screen but rather some lights on a template... I'd like to see one that have redline at 6500 but ends at 7000 I've seen only ONE in a google image search in europe.. that has that... otherwise I think my cluster is for a 1.3 I don't really care much because this cluster have a lot of features... but not seeing the real redline is kinda weird at first (I've leanred to shift with the car sound anyway...)

This means the one you've got is from a diesel Yaris.
My red part starts at 6k and ends at 7k then, since mine is petrol.
Sure I'd love to sell it, what stops me is the postage. Mine is for LHD. The RHD would have the wrong angle and swapped connector sides. You can PM me if you want. I'd be willing to sell it for 100 euros. :)
Wait till tomorrow if you want me to dig it up and power it up in order to take new pics, or find the old ones.
EDIT: Here it is turned off from an old post of mine. Turned OFF (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showpost.php?p=751097&postcount=37)

I'll try and see if I can pull some plugs in order to get it to ship for dirt cheap  Give me a couple of days.
Can you PM me now to get an estimate? My cousin owns a courier service and asked for an address, in order to get me an estimate until tomorrow. Thanks
