i failed to install the 1zz throttle body due to...
1. fu*ken coolant hose being too short and couldnt reach the throttle body..😣
2. i wanted to use stock intake box with plastic hose but couldnt fit over 60mm..lol.. 😥
is anybody using stock airbox for 1zz 60mm tb? i custom ordered stainless steel intake 2.5" from a shop to try to make it possible...(picture below..sorry for sucky drawing..) 😆
if not..how is your car running on normal intake + 1zz throttle body??
im trying to use stock box because i hate losing low end torque..i had hks intake which lost low end and gained hi end

I took a piece of 90 degree copper tubing and plugged the coolant lines together around the corner of the head by-passing the throttle body. you would need to replace the hoses, at least 1, with aftermarket tubing. if you want to use stock air box /w accordion rubber duct, I've read that you can turn the tube around 180 degrees and it fits on 1zz. I have not tested. I have a injen CAI.

I think you can do without the coolant lines on the TB in Thailand. :wink
You can probably leave them in loop.
Cooland flows there to prevent icing and sticking of the throtle plate with frozen condensation vapors.. not a case in your part of the world I think :)

Yes, you can definitely by pass the coolant. I just bought generic coolant hose and cut it to fit for the 1zz TB. I didn't want to bypass the coolant as I live in a cold climate.
I had a TRD intake that came with a silicone coupling. It was too small to fit over the 1zz but i was able to stretch it to fit and clamp it downs with a zip tie. The stock hose is stiffer and not as easily stretched.

Hi rabbito, I think 1ZZ TB is 55mm unless your using Thai TB which I saw is 60mm. You could just purchase a longer coolant hose with custom length.
I'm using 1ZZ TB with stock air intake. Tooter mentioned that I could use the stock hose by just switching the ends but it is a very tight fit for 55mm. Might need to stretch/force it a little for TB side.
