2007 Yaris: jerky part throttle and trans. freewheel

Hi I just got a 2007 yarris auto. and I notice a few things that are annoying me.

First of, I notice a lag at part throttle going slow in low speed areas like a deadspot almost.
Next, when I step on it a bit and let off, I hear the engine kinda freewheel like its not in gear for a bit.

Also when I'm creeping in a parking lot, it feels jerky like its surging when not touching the gas or very little pedal.

It only has 35,000KM's


Any ideas?
