If I can find a fine flexible pinstripe I would like to try a red stripe around the outer flat edge where the wheel weight rests. The base color would be a rich flat back.

So, would it have any potential?

I am not that steady. maybe if I could come up with a template I could pull it off.

So, any thoughts on the look?

cover areas that wont get paint..and just go over the thing.

I have to do that to my bronze rims because its scratched....the lip that is.

That's the look! How did you add the pinstripe?

If that part of the wheel is symmetrical/smooth edge you could just carefully mask it off and paint. They do make wheel specific pint for alloy wheels. As far as color is concerned I think a contrasting color would be best in your situation. I thought red would contrast my Bayou Blue well.

BTW, I think your wheels look good as is!

If you want a perfect circle painted on your wheels, just leave them on the car and spin them while holding the brush against something steady (chair?)
Do NOT do this with the engine providing the power to spin them - practical jokers have waaaay too much fun with that!

OUCH, does that mean your sister is still in the dating stage?

Are you keeping the stock dampers?

I live in the south. We hold the brush still and spin the car.

haha, he's my "fake brother in law" because he is my girlfriends brother. she and i can't get married hence calling him my fake brother in law.

and yes, i will hang on to the stock thingies in case i need to bring it into the Toyota hospital. i've already called them and they said lowering it would just void the suspension warranty. not the entire warranty. but i figure, what they don't know won't hurt them.

I put the pinstriping on very carefully...I'm eventually going to get around to painting them...I just havent' been in the mood to pull all the wheels off. I like those wheels of yours, and your shades,and...yea! I think a red lip would be badass on em'!
