Stereo sound problem

Hello guys,
I have a france made yaris 1.3lt, year 2004.
The last days my stereo stops working occasionaly (no sound and light at the bottom part.The upper panel works and has light) and I found out that if I hit it with my hand it starts again.
I pull it out and inspect the cables but I did not find the culprit.
Any ideas?

It's 13 years old. I'd say get a new one...

thanks for the advice my friend but here in Greece things are not going well as far as economy concerns. So I prefer to repair this stereo instead of byuing a new one.
I will try to inspect it tomorrow again. Does anyone know how to separate the cd player from the rest of the stereo (I mean after I pull all the system out) ?

Finally the culprit found. It was a contact at the Motherboard which was not 100% stuck on it. So with a bit of soldering everything works fine now.
