Yaris 1.3 T3+AT Hatch 08 - Electric Windows

Hi,

Just a funny technical question. On occasion i am able to close the windows after pulling out the keys from the ignition, but the majority of the time i have to have the keys in the ignition with the battery "active" to close them. How can this be that it sometimes works without ? and is it possible to have this feature enabled all the time as its quite a hassle to always having to put the keys back in the ignition.

My Yaris is a series 3, so there may be a difference, but the owners manual says the power windows can be operated for 45 seconds after turning the ignition switch from "On" to "Acc" or "Off".

Or until you open the door, if you do that you cant operate the Windows any more in the 45 secs.
