Yeah, I saw what the desert sun did to my Lapis Blue Accord after arriving in Phoenix back in 2009-2010, especially since I wasn't using a garage at the time. I decided to be practical and go for white in this environment - which I do like - but I probably would have went with Blazing Blue Metallic or Magnetic Gray if I was still living in Atlanta.

I use a detailer spray as my clay bar lube and I clay bar it once or twice a year after the winter and mid summer.

I hand wash (2 bucket method) the car first then clay bar it. I then polish it (no more than 1-2x per year) and then use a synthetic wax on it. A couple weeks later I'll use a hard shell paste wax as I find it is the most durable and then every time after that I use a liquid syn wax.

I also use rain x on the Windows which works wonders.

I do all of this more for function over form. I want my paint to last until the day this car hits the scrappers and I dd drive it in the gta. Anyone who drives any of the gta's highways can attest to how harsh they are on a cars paint. Soame with parking in a parking lot in the gta, people not longer have any awareness or care about other people's property. My car has some small dings and the front bumper needs sanding and new paint thanks to all the salt and rocks, but overall the paint is in good shape as is the clear coat.

My underbody is also doing well and has litke to no rust thanks to the krown oil spray every spring once the salt is off the road. I just rinse down the underbody of the car with a hose the evening before I get it sprayed to get rid of any salt.

I'm running 17" Enkei RPF1 wheels (43mm offset), Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires (205/40/17) and am lowered about 2" with Tein S. Tech springs. Still using the factory struts/shocks.

^^^ Ooh... that multi-spoke look is really good... and I think the colour is better than the bronze.

Now, be extra careful not to curb these wheels... because you'll really mess up the spokes!

Thanks guys. I originally was sad to see the bronze go but after having these rims on my car for a few days I'm really happy with the matte gray. The rims mesh into the flint mica paint on the car and look like it was meant to go together.

I'll be installing some BFG spor5 comp 2's next summer which are much wider and will really fill out the fitment how I want it. I checked discount tire after Kimona mentioned the sale they had. I could grab them for $225 USD which is about half what I'd pay to get them up here.

Problem is I don't have $300 CAD right now. My current shoes grip like crazy on corners in the dry but are downright dangerous in the wet. The treads pretty worn down so they're close to slicks anyways.

I definitely park a foot away from curbs now just to be safe. These are not a rim design you want to meet a curb with!

Hey. The lip is for a 99 - 00 civic. I got it on eBay for ~$28.00 and needs some mods, but I'll try my best to do it up right. I wanted a Seibon but wasn't willing to part with that much cash.

Garage door weather stripping would be my guess. Same stuff used to fabricate the infamous 'Home Depot Lip'.

I was lowered on coils in the summer, I took them off and they're currently in my garage. I took them off because I wanted a more comfortable ride quality so I'm back in stock suspension. My new tires are currently being ordered, went with 205/45/16 to keep it similar to stock wheel specs.

the car sits slightly higher on the coilovers than it did on the MI springs. I wanted enough room to slide my low profile jack under the side skirts at the track and less risk of damaging anything underneath. This height seems slightly more ideal for my needs.

The new wheel set up has a good amount of poke and I'm definitely a big fan of the extra width on the tires, makes the rear end much more aggressive, got that fat booty look ;). The rolled and slightly pulled rear fenders helps with the rear fitment as I have 10mm hub spacers.

i say...2 1/2", i use coilovers so i adjusted it endlessly to get a good height without constant front lip scrape.

body kit? its factory! currently the JDM RS factory parts+options (2009 front, 2006 rear)
gonna change it real soon.

Have you gotten into any of that now that you've started hitting the track with this beauty?

Yes, I had a track alignment and corner balance done a couple weeks ago, crazy difference in turn in I would definitely recommend it to anyone who gets to the track

Thanks! Its outa action right now. I blew up a rear coilover at TMP last time out. So the mods continue......got a 9th Gen Civic short shifter working, I still have to clean up the install. It makes the transmission feel like a race box. :biggrin:

thanks! i was never a fan of red either, this yaris happened because i live in the rust belt and this little guy made a trip up from texas and got traded in by the original owner, when i saw 90K miles and no rust for 4K i jumped, its a daily for now but i bought it with track car future in mind, no ABS no traction control was enough for me..
