Will post some better pics and how top panel is mounted tomorrow.

Basiccally I have 4 galvinized L brackets..2 bolted in the rear floor about 3 inches away from rear plastic boxes. Then 2 bolted to metal bench/tube frame thing.I have a 2x3 running vertical bolted to the L brackets front and back with cross member between those. The top and front skirt are covered in trunk carpet that is glued with 3m spray adhesive, wrapped tight and then stapled in the back.

Its rock solid and light weight.I have sound deadener sticky stuff on the way and already have 6 inch type bed foam. This goes inbetween obviously.

Super happy with outcome.I left front part of bench frame exposed purposely as its great for storing windex bottle.paper towel roll, gloves etc.

Will post more pics if anyone is interested on the details.http://i.imgur.com/AqBE2Qq.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/H6Wfikl.jpg

I'm frequently tempted to do something like this, but I still have teenagers to transport, and the rear seats lie flat. ;)

I'd like to see some in-progress pics if you have them. I'd also recommend resizing the picture to about 50% since it breaks a lot of people's browsing experience when it's that wide.

Do I reduce before posting, dont see any advanced tools when posting.

Turned out phenominal btw.Looks real clean and simple.I never have passengers period so the rear delete is for me.

I will post more pics tomorrow when its daylight of the sub assembly and how I carpeted top and front skirt.

Yes, beforehand. There's no tools on the forum. I normally do 800px wide. You can probably get away with 1200 if you need to show more detail.

Those are the only pics I took. What exactly do you need help with?
Its so simple.I can take some more this weekend if you like.

Galvalized L brackets(Homedepot) screwed to floor,I used stubby hex head screws and had to drill larger holes into L breckets. Then mounted brackets to exsisting front flat parts on the bench suppports, used nut/bolt here.As you can see from pic I then used 2x3'S for cross members and again used large hex head screws. You just need to dry run everything and adjust accordingly for the depth/levelness of your top carpeted board.Once the top is on you can put the front skirt on.

I got carpet on Amazon and used 3M spray adhesive, cut wrapped board accordingly and stapled at back.

I cut and fit 6'' foam for underneath and the car is no louder then stock.

Very, very happy with how it looks and very sturdy, does not budge.

I left front part of stock bench support exposed purposely.Holds windex bottle, paper towel, etc upright perfectly.

P.S

I was not looking for more storage space or weight loss doing this mod but just wanted a nice clean looking totally flat hatch area.I suppose I lost some weight as the wood and L brackets dont weigh much.
