I was looking for a way to personalize my car more to my personality so I decided to paint all the trim pieces inside a metallic purple. I think it turned out really good. Sorry I don't have any step by step pictures but the whole thing came apart really easy.........took twenty minutes at most. I put 3 layers of Hot Hues Lavender Metallic. I had them add a flattening agent so it wasn't shiny and an adhesion promoter. I think it looks good because it is still metallic like the silver originally was. Sorry the pictures aren't the best because of the sun's reflection. I did the radio pieces, the door pieces in front and back and the piece by the shift bezel.

I think amber/orange would look killer with the purple color

This is a nice change from some of the intense colors others have used recently. I've been thinking about doing this myself. I'm thinking maybe a dark red to somewhat match the time attacks but also avoid it being too bright of a color.

Very cool. How did you start to pull out the silver trim around the shifter? What type of fasteners on on this. I have never done a jod=b like this with out breaking it up a bit?
Thanks, KJN

I thought about doing this but flat black. How did the get the nobs on the radio and lower nobs painted. Did you have to use masking tape to tape off the inner portions?
