Did a search and couldn't find anything so here we go... I was cleaning my Yaris the other day and was wiping down the door jam areas. The date of production shows 04/06(I remember that we bought the first one our particular dealership received - we actually were looking for a Corolla and it caught our eye). Anyways, is there a way of knowing what the actual production number is?
There's some kind of letters/numbers code also, but I don't know how to decipher it. We were just talking about how long we've had it and I thought it would be interesting to know.
Side note - we're looking for a new car and the one I'm really interested in has a lot of bugs and 'first model year issues'(from the forums I've been reading)I don't remember having any problems with the Yaris even though it was a brand-new model! I'd get another Yaris, but we need something bigger. I guess I've been spoiled with Toyota quality, but I just can't get excited about the looks of the bigger models.
