Rear grinding like noise when braking

Hi everyone,

So I just recently went to my mechanic who has machined and cleaned my rear drum brakes about a week ago. When i drove away, there was no problem.

However after a week or so, I have been hearing a grinding like noise whenever i brake. This happens when i brake softly but not so much if i brake firmly

What do you guys think the noise is coming from ?

Didn't say if you installed new shoes, but could be a broken spring or brake lining lost it's bond and separated from the shoe or a small pebble got into the drum? only way to tell for sure is to pull drums back off and look.
