Please help me, for I have commited a bone head move.:help:

I placed the new battery in and started hooking up terminals
upon placing the second terminal on some sparks which i though were normal, but then i heard a POP right next to me... can some one help me with what fuse would of likely popped?

NO turnsignals, fan, radio, hazards, brake lights, and now there is an ABS light on the dash. It does Start a lot stronger now.

This happened on a 2005 toyota echo and i have a 2007 toyota yaris that maybe i could borrow some fuses from.
i really want to go joy riding tonight, all help is appreciated.

Thanks

upon closer inspection, i did blow the main fuse that sits onto to the positive terminal... so does anyone know if i should be concerned about anything else after this bone head move?
Oh, and of course the 2007 Yaris fuse is different

I found this from CTScott

The Yaris does not have any significant reverse voltage protection, so you can do some serious damage connecting a battery backwards.

To start with, disconnect the two ECM (engine computer) connectors and see if DOME fuse still blows. If it does not, then you may have damaged the ECM (which is the most sensitive device to reverse voltage).

where are the two ECM connectors located?

"To protect from reverse polarity you need a diode (which the newer cars may have)."

Can anyone reassure me that my 2005 echo has a diode to protect against stupidity?
