Picked up my new 2017 SE few weeks ago.
I am new to the Yaris Chassis, I am quite pleased with it.
Couple things I have been looking to figure out.
1) I did not get the premium audio, but I am wondering if I can add the gps antenna to activate the nav, I don't feel like paying 800cad just to get the nav.
2) Do the same engine mods for the earlier 1nz still work on the 2017 eg 1zz tb, cams, cai, headers.
3) Is the car speed limited to 160kmh? couldn't seem to push it faster.
4) Is the suspension the same so lowering springs and struts
5) Will the previous bumper fit on the newer body I'm not a fan of the giant grill.
First off welcome!
1) No idea beause I never cared for navigation, so I never looked into it. Maybe someone else could chime in.
2) Pretty much, same goes for suspesion.
3) I think some were able to reach a few kph faster, but i guess it's all due to no power and aerodynamics.
4) See 2.
5) Sure it will fit, but you'll have to get rid of your cool SE headlights due to the shape being different.

Thanks I noticed yesterday, a Yaris sedan or echo blowing by me when I'm doing 160kmh and I want to get mine up to that

2007 and onward will fit suspension wise, engine mods will still fit,
engine management is limited but the car is also drag limited, I dont think theirs a limiter it just has an inability to go faster its 106 HP.
2017 is just basically a face-lifted 2014.
can get an aftermarket head-unit if you really don't like the toyota factory one and retain steering wheel controls. infact an aftermarket unit will probably be a better experience and better sounding, maybe even switchout the factory amp.
the factory speakers are garbage.

Awesome thank you.
I don't mind the factory headunit, I was just hoping I could spend the $60 and get nav by adding the antenna

you need the entire box, its a self contained add on unit.
or you can buy a scion or like something with the box attached on ebay, they usually run about 560 USD but IDK if their compatable.
