I purchased this off eBay this week. I just installed it today. So far so good. It has DVD, Navigation, the usual. I just have to install the reverse camera. Its cheap but for my commuter vehicle, it does the job. I like the fact that this is a clean OEM looking receiver that came with the wiring harness.

Awesome that it has navigation. If I may ask, what did it cost?

I paid roughly $134 shipped. When I purchased, the auction location was a US state but a week later it changed to China. I called the seller out on this and they responded stating that they ran out in the US. Besides that, I am satisfied with this unit. Its cheap but better than the basic OEM.

This is not android correct?I am looking at getting the Android.

So far, best price is the Panlelo off Amazon. But it's not Toyota universal.

I found a Joying on AliExpress which is Toyota universal, but I'm more looking at the 10.1" which has a much better display.

Sound quality on both seem to be very good, according to reviews.. I'm a little hesitant to try. Not sure if it's going to be as good as my basic JVC.

There are a bunch of android units on ebay. My biggest reason for wanting android is maps for navigation (as some of these branded don't come with Canada maps) and then I also like the idea of being able to use whatever android apps I want to use; like torque, or spotify or whatever. I will probably pull the trigger on something this weekend and we will see how it turns out.

That Joying one looks pretty good, but about $60 more than I want to pay.

This unit had the I-Go Navigation. Its actually decent for a cheap unit. On day 3 of ownership, I had issues with the clock settings. I wish these units had AM and PM behind the clocks. I did however adjusted the GPS time and it seems to help. I'll give it a week before I leave feedback for the seller. I still need to take the time to learn this unit. These Chinese units don't come with good instructions.

I have these Android units in my last three vehicles. Unfortunately, my wife - who is the primary driver - wants this one to remain stock, largely due to the somewhat inadequate radio reception of the Chinese head units. I love the decks. The last two cars - one of which sold 2 days ago - also had 8" subtubes, clarion 4 channel class D amps, NVX speakers and tweeters. These Chinese head units are amazing. I had one touch screen failure after about two years. The other units were operationally flawless.

Here is the one from teh Rondo I just sold:

Thats good to hear.

I ordered this one on the weekend and I'll make a thread after it arrives and I install it.

UPDATE: The radio reception isn't as good as past radios I had. The clock doesn't retain setting memory, even with the instructions per seller. Time will tell as far as quality. I still have the box it came in just incase I want to return. I like the OEM fitted look and I hope the glitches will improve. I'm still working with the seller on fixing, updating these items.

Yeah, they do fall short on radio reception. I never had any issues with the clocks keeping time. I didn't pursue it, but I think there is either a radio antenna booster wire with the harness, or you can buy a radio booster. This really doesn't bother me as I just listen to music from my 16G microSD card. Last count is something like 1700 songs and still lots of room on the card. I'm still subtely working on my wife for approval to install an Android unit in the Yaris.

The latest Android units employ octacore processors and have tremendous processing/multimedia power. Mine are all quadcore and can handle multitasking with ease. I often run Google maps, Torque Pro, Power Amp, web browsing and other background apps and it doesn't even blink.

The good thing is that you bought it from eBay so returning it shouldn't be cost prohibitive (shipping). I bought all my units from Aliexpress and return shipping, for any reason, is simply out of the question.

I'm leaning toward keeping this. Everything else work fine. For what I paid, I think I'm getting my money worth flaws and all. I'm going to look into that FM booster even though I too listen to the majority of my music off a usb and SD card. As far as a clock, the vehicle has a separate clock anyway. I'm going to wait 30 days before leaving feedback.

I have a Joying 10.1" unit. Think i am finally conceding on the radio reception issue. I have ordered a separate antenna for digital radio I will mount on the outside of the window.

Strongly recommend getting the 2 gig units. They are still plenty of 1 gig units out there. Performance difference between them is huge.

Overall I think they are a really good bang for buck option.
