What does it give you over the stock cluster?

What does it give you over the stock cluster?

makes its a "sport" model also the LE non SE w/ taco is unavailable so I bought the SE cluster to swap the silver front plate with the non SE version for subtly, gonna paint the plate gloss black with a clear. so its just a simple swap reprog and im happy.

also gives it a tachometer.

Nice.

I could stand for a tach. There's only a few things I miss having come from a Civic Lx to a base Yaris and the tach is one of them. Power mirrors, cruise control and the extra few inches of leg room are the others.

I'm interested in the install log for the dash kit. Plug and play? A tach would be nice to have if it were an easy thing.

Add a link for the dash kit.

You have to get the mileage reprogrammed because it is stored on the cluster not the ecu

It's gonna depend on the dealership. Some will do it but keep the whole car there to make sure the milage is exact.

I wanted to do the cluster swap in my 2014 Yaris but never did. I believe if you buy one from a wrecked L with a tach or an SE that they'll work just fine even with the automatic transmission display. Haven't personally tried it since there's like none around me for parts that are a stick or an SE.

Installing it is easy. Just pull the bezel off around your current cluster, unscrew the thing, unplug, and then do it again with the new one. It will at least show you if it works or not haha

So, just so you know, I bought a USDM cluster with a tach from a wrecked L model. Plugging it into my LE the gear indicator and ECO lights worked just fine. However, the mileage stays in the cluster so I will need to get the cluster reprogrammed to the right mileage of the car.

Yeah, pull bezel. Take out two screws. Pull out (it's clipped in as well at the top so you'll have to pull kind of hard) and then unhook the two connectors on the back. Reverse and you're good. However, you'll want to send the cluster out to have the mileage reprogrammed.

oooh man you're lucky i have an email sent to a shipper from 2011. I measured an RS rear bumper with spoiler for the prefacelifted 2nd gen.

"height: 56cm
length: 178cm
depth: 45cm

weighs at 8.1 kg, with refector and plate on."

their reply:
"No problem, thanks for the sizes. Based on these the volumetric weight as used by Fedex is 90kg, this is more than the physical weight, so the 90kg is used for shipping. "

Also, shipping within usa is 80-100 bucks via greyhound. Done it many times.

Mods In Progress: TRD Air Filter.

Will that fit on all MK3 yaris? Is there any performance improvements after you install this? How much will that cost. How often we have to clean that?

Thanks.

its a 80 dollar filter. you have to oil it at every filter change. dont let them throw it away. theres a TRD oil filter kit thats like 30 bucks.

pulled back on the interior parts, dealer tried to scam me for my money by putting 2018 SE interior parts on infinate backorder.

figured out my engine swap have the entire GSIC for the donor vehicle including the correct year range both FWD and AWD. 20$ illegal ripped copy from some euro/ china hackwannabee

managed to talk to a yaris world forum member who talked to toyota and managed to get my parts for my interior stuff, little higher then i expected but its cool. another toyota dealer scammed me and reported my paypal as money laundering and fraudulent.

nengun talked to toyota for me too and got the entire parts list pricing sorted out for my entire front end conversion.

found the rear spoiler on rakuten and have priced out the rims i need,

looking into how to replicate the matte grey paint of the GRMN rims.

have started to measure out using the 3d engine bay of the repair part of the manual of each vehicle to get a rough guesstimate of the car and how the engine will fit. its going to require alot of cutting as i have to run a reward driveshaft and new shorter CV axels will be have to be made and im going to have to find a transplant model that does not have active air suspension or i am going to have a bad time figuring out how to recalibrate it (ie read i cant im not a computer wizard)

edit: the good thing about these cars vs a civic is the car is shorter but the engine bay is taller. but there both the same width.
