any for the 2 door version?

echo_hrs
01-20-2006, 07:24 PM
The Vitz in Japan only comes as a 5 door hatch, all of these kits shown are for that version, and with the exception of the INGS kit, all are OEM Toyota accessory offerings in Japan...Now that the 3 door is out in UK, Australia and North America we'll have to wait and see...

I heard that the engine in that car is a 1.8l.

echo_hrs
01-30-2006, 09:35 AM
Directly from his site: "TOYOTA Vitz 1.5 RS"

It's the 1NZ-FE standard on the JDM Vitz RS...There's rumours of a 1.8 Yaris T-Sport being prepared for the european hot hatch market, but the same thing was rumoured for the last 6 years that the old Yaris was around in Europe...Other than one 1.8 engine swap by Activa Engineering in the old Yaris, it doesn't exist...

why?
01-30-2006, 09:50 AM
Don't know who "he" is, but TMG put a 2zz in a Vitz and used it as a show car in Japan.

While Activa also did this, TMG is actually an affiliate of Toyota, so there is more of a chance that it might happen.

I also read an article somewhere that mentioned a 1.8l in a Yaris coming over to the US. The quote was from some Toyota exec, but so far I cannot find the article again.

However, since it looks like the next Gen Corrola is going to get a 2.5 for the XRS model, a 1.8 Yaris is more plausible.

echo_hrs
01-30-2006, 03:50 PM
Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG) is Toyota's European-based motorsports centre...

I will not hold my breath for the 1.8 in North America, I can't see how Toyota would do it for USA, Even in Canada, where we get the RS grade...considering the ultra-econo positioning of the car...

Corolla XRS is positioned against the Civic Si, where the battle of horsepower will be fought...

Unless another manufacturer decides to take one of their "loss-leaders" into the hot-hatch subcompact, I don't think Toyota will do this in North America, since the general population already complains that a Yaris fully-optioned is too expensive and would rather buy a Corolla...The Yaris is all about high volumes of sales, in the hopes that the buyers will Camry up next time...

Here's hoping I am completely off-base for everyone's sake...

Cheers

It is yachi which has the homepage of vitz in Japan. I am making "Vitz Party."

Since there was our picture, it came for play. It comes for play occasionally from now on. Thank you for your consideration.

Black vitz RS is a wife's car. My car is ALTEZZA BLITZ COMPRESSOR specification.

It was not found although the photograph which is not exhibited by Vitz Party was looked for. It will send, if a photograph is taken.

Since tuning has not been carried out, it is ordinary Vitz. There is no tuning part which is still pleasing.

Sorry for the repost i reread every post. I must of missed it. But anyway. I am asuming the measurements are going to be different because of the extra doors. The hatch doesn't look as long as the wagon. Yes, i am calling it a wagon because of the 5 doors

But if there is no length or width difference between the hatch and the wagon. I love the Yaris more.

ricko
05-02-2006, 07:41 PM
You assume wrong ............ from the "06 specs ...... length, width, height and wheelbase are the same for all levels of the 3-door, and the 5-door (you call it the wagon). Remember 4-door sedans have narrower doors than 2-door coupes too.

ricko
05-02-2006, 09:31 PM
You might need to check to see if there are any structural differences, between 5 and 3 door, that would affect mounting. All I know are the actual dimensions. JDM should help you with that. I think Canadian and U.S. specs are the same.

Anyone in TO know a company that imports from Japan? I know that Boom Plus toys will, but they're in BC. I'm looking for something a little more local.

http://www.speedstar.ca/

They do mostly S2000, but I asked and they can import other parts too. However, they might be pretty expensive. Might just try BPT at BC. They quoted me shipping for a bumper with Fedex before (bumper cost extra).

I have been following these threads regarding body kits since their original posts some time ago. Seems there is a general interest in adding body kits to the new Yaris.

By the first week in June I will have imported and fitted a body kit to my Yaris. I have been speaking directly with a company who produces body kits for the new Yaris. Depending upon interest generated from the photos which will be posted and the quality and fit of the body kit I will then be distributing this kit for North America.

Please see the photos attached and if interested send an email to:

mikeukrainetz@hotmail.com

I will judge the interest by email volume initially and will let everyone know the progress on releasing this product for sale in Canada and the US.

It will be VERY important if you are interested in purchasing a kit to email myself directly ASAP.

I will soon post a sticky thread for further interest.

Enjoy....

I have been away and havent had a chance to keep up with the posts.

The kit I am importing (shown previously on the black Yaris) is a four piece lip kit. It is being painted as we speak and I should be picking it up sometime in the next 4-5 days.
The companies price is somewhere in the neighborhood of 350US for all four pieces. I have yet to actually lay my hands on it. Again, provided the shipping and quality are there I will import these kits with other parts to follow in larger quantities sometime soon.
That may lead to importing other kits from other companies but for the interim this company is who I am dealing with exclusively.

The spoiler is a separate item, I will find out if it is their product as well or stock JDM TRD parts. I have seen similar spoilers here so there may be no point in paying to import a product thats already here.

I would like to know how many people are seriously interested in purchasing whole or part kits. It doesnt make much sense to import small quantities due to shipping costs which would have to be passed along but also not much sense importing larger quantities and having piles of stock sitting.

koo, ya I like the c-one kits- which one you getting? do you have a link from where your getting it from? where in canada you at

mikeukrainetz
06-07-2006, 01:40 PM
It is similar to the C-One kits, the rear lip for example is the same as one of C-One's. I prefer the lip on the kit I am getting to any of C-Ones but that my preference.
As far as I know the kit I have is somewhat less expensive as well.

I really have to do some digging as far as shipping is concerned, I air freighted my kit here and you dont want to know what that cost, I dont want to pass along that kind of price.

I reside in BC, Canada. Shipping in and out of BC to the other provinces isnt too bad, and more into the US.

The only links I have are the photos as posted for the time being.
I will be setting up a site for pricing and contact information so keep in touch.

That C-One rear lip is slightly different. The grill opening left of the exhaust is smaller.

If I remember correctly the C-One parts start at around 370CAN a piece.

(Just checked the price, the rear lip is about 353Can. so add that to the other three pieces plus shipping, duty and taxes and you have one expensive kit)

My kit should be off the plane sometime today, so whenever I get a chance to pick it up and fit it I will post pics. It had to come unpainted some problem with matching colours. Though the kits wont come painted anyway.

As soon as I can get correct shipping information, product quantity pricing and availability I will post the retail price.

I will be looking after distribution for NA. Contact me via email or PM so I can prep a first order list.

Website needs to go up and licensing still needs to be addressed.

Dont know for sure if it includes the spoiler, however, if I distribute these kits I guess thats my choice.

The spoiler is molded plastic - I dont know if its fibre reinforced or not because its primed.

im in the interior of BC, its regularily around 10c +/- above vancouver temps - if its 27 in Van its closer to 35 here.

I like the spoiler, when I stood back and actually looked at it yesterday it seems like its slightly smaller than the rally spoiler and projects less out the back, less intrusive I guess. I like this spoiler but also like the shape of the rally spoiler.

My point exactly! The new xB looks like poo in my glorified opinion...well, I think both the xA and xB replacements actually took a step BACKWARD in design. They shoulda had the Yaris hatch replace the xA and just created a new model name for the sedans under the Toyota brand. I'm not a HUGE fan of the xB, but I think it kicks its replacement's @SS when it comes to looks....yuck! :barf: Basically I think having the Yaris replace the xA would have looked like Scion was actually forward-thinking in their design instead of the other way around.

There are many car shops making this, C-One aeroparts. However, most of
them made of Carbon Fiber ... not ABS plastic.

You may grab US$ 500-750 to get these parts.

PS. For Ken Style, AeroOver, etc.. are cheaper, though!

I saw that cover on the SecondStage website (http://www.rakuten.co.jp/secondstage/610273/659782/) (where I got some of the starter pics for my eyelids).

There are many car shops making this, C-One aeroparts. However, most of
them made of Carbon Fiber ... not ABS plastic.

You may grab US$ 500-750 to get these parts.

PS. For Ken Style, AeroOver, etc.. are cheaper, though!

i just saw that front bumper setup today at our SoCal meet, looks cool.
i don't remember the dude forum name...but he's here all the time they said.

I think the English namings for body colours are more imaginative n cool though:cool:

definitely fills in the empty space where a door should be. Its like the car is too "tall" to be a coupe.
