I've decided I'll only pay so much for used coilovers. June 15th and I'm ready for a brand new set but i am waiting for a reply back from the seller on how used this set is.

It seems kind of weird that these would even be up for sale. I thought maybe the poster (A) wrecked the car, (B) used them for testing related to retail business, (C) has the cash flow I wished I had and can try anything he, or she desires.

Well it is a big company so I assumed it was some kind of a return or tested set.

That makes sense. If they are a return item I bet they are listing them at there price which gives us a idea of markup on them.

no, I was having problems pulling up what all they had for yaris, I'll try again later today, I see they have a new set priced at 999. I believe, that is higher than wesellcarparts.com 895. shipped

whatever ones I can see never had a buy it now, I only see a set retailing for 999. and the other set had started bidding yesterday with no buy it now price

Astroman
05-24-2007, 08:33 PM
That is because once you reach a certain percentage on the auction bid, the buy it now will vanish. These were a buy it now/auction listing. Ask the seller.

Ok, I won't argue but I looked at the thing yesterday when I placed a bid and it was at 199. and there was NO "buy it now price"

but I'm not going to argue:thumbup:

well, I am not sure how good of a deal it will turn out to be:laugh:

anyway I'm kinda in the same boat about half way there on my savings for a brand new set at 895. so when I get paid on the 15th of June I have a set with my name on it:thumbup:

hi,

they are used to test the fitment, no actual miles on them.

The mystery is solved, the answer to my question concerning the reason for sale.

Black Yaris

I have never been a fan of coilovers.... I either drop with springs or I bag em

brickhardmeat
05-27-2007, 01:38 AM
Well, I am going to take a closer look at the Teins since I am not hearing the harsh complaints on their coilovers. Springs just won't get me low enough:cry:

Black Yaris
05-27-2007, 01:49 AM
what kinda drivin you doing brick? You interstin in doing a bag set-up? that would give you the best ride and the adjustability

I just don't know anything about bags. I like a fairly stiff ride. The Springs I have now are a bit on the soft side. Mostly city streets for me and Dallas has it's fair share of pot holes and construction so I am usually driving quite carefully. I take some weekend highway drives and that's about it.

Black Yaris
05-27-2007, 02:05 AM
I just like the adjustabilty, to lay it out, tuckin wheel if I want, or roll it with a mild drop for daily driving with the flick of a switch, and with a comfortable ride
