I have the auto and was wondering if this would fit. It states for the manual. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! And I did use the search function.

Does the auto knob screw off? If so the manual knob is M12X1.25 thread pitch. So, if they are both the same thread pitch and there nothing extra like button to push then you should be good to go

Yeah, it screws off and there is no button... I suppose I could get it and if it doesn't fit sell it here, lol.

Go to your local hardware store and get the appropriate size nut and test fit it on the stick. If it is not the same thread size and pitch you will save yourself a lot of hassle.

Is it the thread size, or something else?

If I recall, they do have a TRD knob for Automatic without the markings. Maybe that one would fit?

There is a knob for autos at sparks. Not TRD.
I like the one from thailand accessories. You know who can get that one. I'll probably opt for that pedal set and shifter knob when the time is right.

I liked the styling of the leather TRD knob, and the emblem. Guess if its too big, there is always gorilla glue,

If that is the case you could still make it happen. Just go to a machine shop that is willing to do a small job and get them to make a threaded reducer. In other words the interior would be threaded to fit the shifter and the exterior threaded to fit the knob. I personally would prefer using brass stock.

Hey astroman... here's a page from Toyota New Zealand (http://trdsales.toyota.co.nz/shop/product.asp?catcode=278)... about halfway down they have a couple TRD knobs, and the one for the automatic looks exactly the same as the one for the manual, just without the shift pattern. And the parts numbers only differ by 2.
EDIT: *although*, here's a page from TRD Japan (http://toyota-trd.jp/en/news/trd004.html)... its the autumatic shifter, but in the first set of "Notes", it says that the screw pattern is M8 x 1.25mm. And it says its for all automatic transmissions since 2001. So if the shifter you're interested in is for a manual, looks like it won't fit.
