Help...No sound from CD player

Hi!
I have a problem with my Yaris 2007 hatchback CD player. There is no sound while playing a CD. The sound from radio is nevetheless working fine. I checked the connectors behind the head unit and noticed that one port is not used (see attached pics).
Does anyone know whether this is a problem of wiring or my CD player should be replaced. Thanks

Ill have a look at that tomorrow, my head unit never had a ignition live going to it I had to take one for that from the fuse box also.
