Hi everyone. On my 2007 Sedan, there is this very disturbing sound that appears to come from under the engine bay or under the car when I step on the accelerator in low gears.

It sounds like a rattling or two metals vibrating against each other. It only happens when im driving slowly and especially when I'm climbing even the smallest hill.

By the way, it's an automatic.

What could be the cause?

Exhaust shield? You'll have to get under there to check it out, if you can't then take it to a shop.

^agreed, tends to rattle more under load at lower rpms ie: a/c on while at idle

It’s probably the heat shield on the header. Mine rattled when idling with the AC on. I just took it off. No problems.

I have a similar thing coming from the pully side,i think mine maybe the water pump. I hope its the water pump as the alternatives are too expensive.:iono:

What would I be looking for?

My AC doesn't even work so I don't know

What would I be looking for?Follow your exhaust under the car and into the engine bay, it's a small piece of stamped metal that in places sits around your exhaust to help with heat.

Yea, you can take it off, I just tied mine at the bottom with some wire.
