A lumbar pillow(Tempur-pedic)! I'm not 'that' old, but my back is a mess and anything longer than an hour or so in our Yaris without it and I'm hurting. Luckily, the Camry we just bought has a power driver's support so for longer trips we just take that.

OK A hot plate to cook in motel rooms with a nonstick 2 quart sauce pan, wooden spoon, cover for the pot, 5 pounds of rice in a Tupperware container, 16 quart cooler chest with hamburger and other things that need to be kept cool. Oh and my credit card and maybe a couple hundred dollars in cash and three keys for the car and my Swiss Army knife’s and a Rand McNally’s road map of theUS
