So during the black friday deals, I bought 16x7.5 with 35mm offset locally for a good deal and a set of 205/50/16 Nitto Neo Gen from Discount Tires.

I test fitted the wheels as I wait for my tires to arrive and by itself I gotta say it's pretty darn flush but again this was on jack stands.

It's currently on stock suspension (that I think it's sagged a bit - 2007 with 171k miles) and will be lowering on Tein S-tech with KYB GR2s soon.

Will I rub?

Will just rolling my fenders be the cure? I have a fender roller tool from a friend.

UPDATE:

With stock suspension I wasn’t getting any rub.

Now lowered with Tein S-Techs the front rub on bumpy roads and dips on the outer fender.

Also during full steering lock it’s rubbing on the inside of the wheel well pretty badly.

Don’t know how to fox that.

Here is a pic though, love the results.

Stock? Maybe at full compression.

Lowered? Yes.

I ran a 16x7 +37 wheel with 205/50/16 and rubbed like crazy when lowered on coilovers.

You should be fine with > -2.0 camber in the front and > -1.5 in rear.
With stock camber you may have some rubbing on full compression

How about if I roll my fenders?

You're going to poke up front... and rub if you're lowered.

I ran 2 sets of 205/50/16 Nitto Neo Gens on my 2007. They are outstanding tyres for handling, but very loud. Plus, highway wander will be pronounced.

How about if I roll my fenders?

Fwiw I have -2.7 up front and -2.0 camber in the rear and I have 10mm penguin spacers in the rear. I'm lowered on micro image springs that have since sagged and I had zero run on the stock 185 width rubber. I had much more room available up front than in the rear due to more camber up front and rear spacers

I rolled my rear fenders to fix minor rub from my track wheels (15x7 +24 on 205 wide rubber) and I have a lot of room to fit a wider set up.

I will be running 7.5" wide rims +35 with a 205 wide tire this summer. Technically it's a 195 wide tires but the sport comp 2's measure actual width the same or wider as most 205's. This set up won't help you as I won't be able to give you feed back until the spring time, but my previous set up might be of help to you.

Side note, there is not much fender to roll on the yaris. I tried to do a bit of "pulling" when i rolled mine and it worked a bit but I used a heat gun to heat it up really well

I guess I'll find out this Friday.

I'll mount the wheels, roll my fenders than lower it.

Then when I go for alignment I'll ask for some more camber that's achievable on stock bolts.

You'll need aftermarket camer bolts to achieve half decent camber up front.

For the rears you'll have to use washers behind the hub or shims

Back from the tire shop and with stock suspension I have no rub at all.

Will report back after I lower it.

Couldn’t stand it anymore plus it was looking really meaty which wasn’t looking right with the wheels.

Went down to a 205/45/16, no more rub for now:

Thanks! Got it aligned and all good no rubbing whatsoever. With SPC camber bolts I set it to -1.5 each.
