Yaris: Central Locking out of sync

Hi - my first thread in the forum! I inherited a sturdy Yaris (July 2000) from my niece in April 2017 - and so far, despite its age, its been a terriffic daily runner. Very economic on fuel and fairly nippy for a 980cc engine.

Only one problem so far: The passenger side front door does not lock at the same time as all the other doors. You can lock and unlock all the others by turning the key in the driver's door - but the passenger door needs to be locked/unlocked by itself. Any solutions I can look at ?

The lock motor is probably bad. If I remember right you can sometimes fix them by taking them apart, toughening up the brushes in the little electric motor with some sandpaper, and putting it all back together. Did that on a 2008 Yaris I used to have.
