Door froze shut will this help? In the cold weather recently the weatherstripping on the drivers door of my wife’s car froze to the metal frame and you couldn’t open the door. We had to wait till it got warmer to open the door. With spraying the weatherstripping with WD-40 prevent this? Will the WD-40 harm the rubber?
Thanks!

WD40, spray on, wipe off excess. No Won't harm rubber or paint.
It will smell and get on clothing, interior if not careful.

silicone spray is what you wanna use. It won't harm any rubber. You can also use it in the window tracks to help the windows up and down.

What is WD-40? I was thought it was silicone.

Any reason not to use DOT 5 Silicone brake fluid?
Waxed is likely better than nothing.
