I just spoke to Greddy a few minutes ago about making an exhaust for you Sedan owners.:w00t:
The exhaust will either be an EVO2 or the Ti-C.
Now I need for you guys to show some interest.

Psh - I'm interested in them making an EVO2 for the liftback - if they did, I'd order that one too and with it only taking like 15 mins to install I'd swap out the Ti-C, which i already have - on days I felt the urge.

Excuse my ignorance, but what's the difference between the Ti-C and the EVO2?

What will this do for the car in terms of performace/gas/sound?
Does this also need to be combined with a CIA? Seems interesting actually.

Do a search on yahoo - or look on greddy's website under exhaust. They are too completely different looking exhaust styles.

Looks I care not so much as sound. I want something free-flowing, but not noisy. I don't want to sound like I'm driving around with a nest of anrgy bees strapped to my exhaust pipe...

I have the TI-C, which is very deep and quite loud. You can run it with the silencer in... I never really saw the point in that, since you bought the exhaust it seems like an oxymoron to silence it. And in my experience - Evo2 is usually not quiet either. Do a search on YOUTUBE and you can find a video of it on a scion XB, also not a quiet sounding exhaust and I dont believe that style has a silencer...but i could be wrong.

Any word?

Does anyone know, from experience, as to how "silent" the silencer makes it?

That's my main concern as well. I want flow, not noise. If I want noise, I'll start up my heavily-modified Camaro...

The TiC looks hot, and I dont want that fat-can looking one, I hate those with a passion.
Will this work if a turbo or S/C are installed in the future, or would it make that worse?

i dont think they'll make the exhaust for turbo application. Not alot of people are going to turbo the yaris.

Why would the exhaust system be any different for N/A than it would turbo? That's just silly. The "header" would be part of the turbo system, and the catback exhaust would affect it ZERO percent. Aside from the catalytic converter, the header and catback account for the whole exhaust system. Why would going turbo or not make any difference in what muffler you'd use???

YOu can not have same piping size on NA or TURbo charged cars.
Why?
-Turbo exhaust on an NA will result to lose of power due to lack of back pressure.
-NA exhaust on a turbocharged vehicle will not give enough power due to lack of "free flow"(small piping).
For example, HKS makes exhaust for RSX Type S. THey also make a turbo kit for the RSX. Thus, they make 2 exhaust application for NA and Turbo RSX.
60mm piping for NA
65mm piping for Turbo
Also, if a company like Greddy or HKS would make an exhuast for the SEDAN it'll most likely be an axle-back(like the ones already available for the HB).
Megan Racing is the onlly company i know that can release a catback at low cost.

My bad. Understand, I don't typically modify such cars as these. I'm used to my Camaro and wife's Trans Am, where 3" exhaust is one of the first mods you do on that car, regardless of whether it's forced induction or N/A, and 3" is good for N/A or Turbo, in that application at least. Also, for those sort of cars, the typical catback exhaust is 3", and therefore you'd use the same exhaust kit for N/A as you would a turbo setup...
