Bump! Still available.

I just purchased my Yaris LB on Saturday and it came with the center armrest. As Redrum pointed out, it really IS in the way on the manual. Therefore, it is now for sale. I just uninstalled it this morning so it's ready to go. Following Redrum's lead, I'll let it go for -- new price-- $60 shipped. PM me and we'll ge the ball rolling.

I also have the cargo cover for the LB that I don't want or need, so that too is for sale. I think I read somewhere that this costs over a hundred bucks, but that's too high. I'll let it go for --new price -- $50 shipped.

I'm curious about the armrest as I've never seen one. Would it be easy to put it in before a road trip but also easy to take it back out when it's time for regular commuting? The only time I miss an armrest is on those long highway runs.

I have one in my 5 SPD LB and love it. A few folks says it interferes when they are driving there manual tranny, but I have never had that problem?

Absolutely. I have one and it can definately be taken in and out with ease if you dont use the metal wire clips to clip it down. It slides right into the existing rear cupholder.

can you post some pics? does it have a cup holder on the rear and storage inside and the top of the arm rest pops up?

Yeah, Solarvitz, it's the standard Toyota issued armrest -- it's pictured in the DIY section on how to install. It came with mine and I just like driving better without it. My digital camera is on the fritz or else I'd take a pic for you. It's brand new; it's been out of my car since I bought it. Let me know.

it is the standard toyota usa stock cloth one, the one that folds up and down, black cloth no storage:thumbsup:

Yeah, I mean, just go either to the Toyota website and take a look, or like I mentioned, check out the diy section; there's a picture of it there. It's brand new. If you're worried that I'm going to rip you off, let's do this: send me, say, $10 bucks for the shipping and I'll mail it to you; if you're happy with it, pay me the balance; if not, mail it back -- no harm, no foul.

That's the one I bought from the Toyota dealer for my Yaris ($70).

It took me about 10 minutes to install, and I love it.

Unlike the armrest avialable with the storage box, it's high enough to actually be functional!

how much are you selling it for? I'm in for one as well as cargo cover.. why not hehe

Sherryberry, if you are interested in both, PM me and we'll get the ball rolling. I was asking $60 including shipping for the armrest and $50 for the cargo cover; that would make $110 for both, including shipping. You'll have to let me know if your car has the small metal clips for the cargo cover in place -- there should be one on each side of your rear window; I'm pretty sure that they are there, as the cargo cover is standard.

sorry for long no reply but doesn't the cargo cover at retail cost less than $50?

petesimac

Sherry, I had heard it was more than that, but if you really want it, how about $40 including shipping. Send me a pm and we can get it started.

i'm trying to find a link right now but I think the armrest is more important to me than the cargo net at the moment.

petesimac
08-09-2007, 07:08 PM
Now I understand your confusion, Sherry, the cargo cover is not the cargo net; the cargo cover is the thing that hangs from the back window that covers whatever you have in your cargo bay. As for the armrest, it's in the process of going to someone else; sorry.

OOOH haha i'm sorry. silly me.. i feel stupid now. i actually do have a cargo cover. it's that thing u gotta remove to put the seats down, right? and it hangs on lil' hooks on the side?

petesimac

Yup; for me it's just in the way, so it was the first thing I took out.

I have one in my 5 SPD LB and love it. A few folks says it interferes when they are driving there manual tranny, but I have never had that problem?

I had to extend the short shifter 2.5" higher and lower the arm rest 5/8" to get it right so that my arm on the rest lines up perfectly with the knob.
