I've never seen a "semi automatic" Yaris. I read the section about it in the Haynes manual for the Mk1 and it seems like a nightmare waiting to happen. 5 speed all the way.

sounds extra expensive. probably not worth repairing. cheaper route would be buy a newer engine/transmission/ecu and appropriate shifting mechanisms and install. not semi-auto.

But if your sense is correct--the clutch motor is gone--replace the clutch motor.
(I got the sense reading a Smart Car forum that it's "won't engage reverse" problem was deeper in Hal.)

(After all, you've got a Toyota product. Smart Car came from a cluster including Swatch Watch, Mercedes, Chrysler and one or two more--Peugeot or Renault or something.)

If everything is alright with your car and does not require significant investments, you can fix it. If you manage to do it for a small sum of money, I suggest selling it and buying a new car. If you won't fix it, then the best thing to do is scrap your car (https://www.scrapi.com/cash-for-scrap-cars). At least you will be able to make some money on that. There are a lot of companies that can provide you help with this task. Just make a search on Google search engine and be sure to find something interesting there. Good luck to you.
