Since we bought the car, serviced it and cared for it over the past year. Today it crossed my mind to try the door lock by using the key instead the remote central lock. Key turns in the door both sides, but to no avail.
Could it really be a failed door actuator? The car's is still in its early life 14k miles, should i look at something else before narrowing it down to failed master actuator? Remote central lock works flawlessly and operating the driver door central lock buttons on the door card works fully too both to lock and unlock. Just the key from outside the door, i have a genuine key that came with the car and a copy one. Both are able to start and drive the car, but none will open the door manually from outside, just with central lock one is able to access the inside of the car...aka central lock fails (battery dies etc) i'll be stranded outside the car....for good
Would appreciate any thoughts guys,
Thanks everyone
