Hook up taillights to front DRLs?

Hi guys,

Is there any way to customise/make rear taillights to switch on together with front led DRLs?

To my knowledge I don't think thats possible as the relay that engages the rear lights when you switch your lights on has to run and complete itself in the stalk. You would have to modify the stalk to close the open connection and make it permanently on in that sense.

Why not investigate something like a boot strip light that can be wired similarly to an aftermarket Drl, so when the car is turned on, it turns on. We have a couple cars around here in South Africa that have added these aftermarket light strips that sit inbetween the slit of the bumper and the hatch lip. Not too bad as it serves the purpose of a rear Drl.
