Is anyone still exchanging ideas here?
I am going to retire my 2007 LB soon, and am trying to decide if I should buy a new for me 2015.
What do you guys think? Is the 2015 still compatible with 2007 parts?
It feels like the community isn't as active anymore.
Do the newer Yaris accept all the tinkering that the old ones did?
I guess what I am asking, is, can I expect all the same enjoyment out of the 2015, or has everything changed?

Side note to Canadian coilovers owners, how are you finding them after 1 or 2 winters? I have heard about nightmares of them rusting up and no longer being adjustable...

Other than cosmetics, everything is still the same.

any power and suspension parts should transfer to the new one.

coilovers will definitely seize up after a winter of driving on them. but after you set them, you shouldnt really have to move them again.

i used to swap coilovers in/out in spring/fall respectively when i had my 07 yaris in kitchener, on

I think coilovers should be fine if you rust proof them. Ie, think layer of bearing grease.

When/if I give my Yaris to my nephew in 3 years or so, I'm not going to hesitate
in buying another Yaris (that is, if the hb is still available).
