View Full Version : time for a tune up which iridium plugs?
Will change oil/ oil filter
air filter, cabin filter, and spark plugs using OEM parts
Readily available on eBay but some confusion on iridium plugs
Can someone verify which plugs are best and the exact plug number please?
Thanks

DENSO SK16R11 or NGK IFR5A11
for the quick reply
Will change them out at ~ 75K after 10 years regardless of suggested intervals
NGK's are quite pricey over $15 apiece
can get a set of Denso's for $16 for all 4 including shipping
unless they are knock off

Amazon has NGK's 4 pack for 26.69 free shipping and 6.99 each free shipping with orders over 25. Comparably priced Denso's (in my area, anyway)

thanks, I have not pulled one to see whether the car has NGK or Denso.
Do you have a preference?

NGKs are tried and true in many applications. I plan to tackle this summer....

No preference. I'm still original, I believe, at 86K
DENSO SK16R11 or NGK IFR5A11
Just pulled one plug to check which I have:
NGK IFR5A 11
They have this one on Amazon or eBay IFR5T 11
price is reasonable at less than $7 apiece with free shipping
as another noted No idea the difference between A and T variants
but likely a heat range, Anyone know?
