If it has to be a race car, I would vote for the 1969 Hemi Charger Daytona.

That's right, call me Joe Dirt.

must be a photo of the hatchback version of that Volvo somewhere?
(wiki classifies it as a "shooting brake." Which term Porsche is now using to describe and/or name a new model.)

A classic car is an older automobile; the exact definition varies around the world. The common theme is of an older car with enough historical interest to be collectable and worth preserving or restoring rather than scrapping. Cars 20 years and older typically fall into the classic class.

hence sans maybe the GMT360 and FJ most of those fall closely into that category....

and my 2001 subaru impreza had crank windows and a cassette player..

And im predicting the future with the Rx8.... cause im selfish and ignorant ahaha

2 cars I'd like to own, but probably nobody will. 1969 Mustang "twisted Hemi" 429. only 500 made so Ford could run the heads in Nascar. No dyno's done cause Ford wouldn't let them but guesstimates were between 570 to 600 horse...from the factory in 69!
The other, even more rare is a 69 Dodge dart called a Dart X. Only saw a Hot Rod magazine on it. Less than 100 made. no undercoating, no insulation, no back seat, just aluminum sheeting. No window cranks, just a canvas strap to hold it up or unsnap it to lower it. Battery located in the trunk. The ENTIRE body, once assembled, but b4 painting was acid dipped to lower weight further. Came with Hooker headers and dual exhaust with cutouts.
With street tires (9" wide) it ran 9.80 quarter mile, and smoked the tires a quarter of the way down the track. They didnt have time to put slicks on it, darn it. They said honestly it would hit upper 8's in the quarter mile with good tires. And this was with the completely stock motor. Oh yeah, the motor. Only one available was a 426 hemi with dual quad carbs.......

I found a reference to the Mustang, but not the Dart

^^^ Once owned a 1982 Volvo 240GL in exactly that colour. Real tank of a car that drove more like a truck, but very comfortable. Cost a bloody fortune to maintain and repair.

I always liked the 1965 Pontiac GTO that I used to live around the corner from.

Otherwise, an AC Cobra 429....

My "classic" car is my 1989 Chrysler LeBaron Turbo GT convertible. It even has antique plates on it lol
