Having hard transmission in switching gear 2/3/4/5/ to 1

Hi

I'm new to this forum and i'm not an expert in auto.
Im having TOYOTA Yaris I Hatchback (XP10) 1.0 16V (50 KW / 68 HV).
I have trouble to switch gear 2/3/4/5 to first gear.
May i know the possible issues my car have.

Typically cars have a 1st gear lock out since it's for getting you moving, I dont know the Yaris off hand but typically most JDM cars have a 15mph lockout. If you are moving at 15mph or higher itll prevent/make it hard to shift down into 1st.

From my experience in 2008 yaris sedan, you have to really slow down to be able to downshift to 1st gear.
