I purchased a new aux port (https://www.oempartsource.com/oem-parts/toyota-auxiliary-jack-adapter-select-older-models-only-8619006010) and I'm not sure how to install it. Do I have to take the plastic panel off? Anyone have any pics of an install? I tried searching, but I didn't find any.

Is it in the center of the car or in the dash?

It's in the side pocket on the passenger side.

Hmm. I've only messed with that on a HB. You should be able to remove most of the stuff around it following the "radio replacement" procedure. I.e. pull the plastic parts off in the correct order (side bezels, cluster surround, radio surround, HVAC surround.

As it turns out, it was very simple! No tools required. You can simply reach up behind the plastic and unhook the wire, which is basically a phone cord type plug. Once it's disconnected, push the jack outward toward the back of the car. It slides right out. Then, push the new one in, reach around to the pack and plug in the wire. Done!
