Does anyone know the OEM paint code for the alloy wheels on the Yaris RS. Figured I'd paint these while I'm doing my respray.

I don't believe wheels, any manufacturer, has published paint codes. My searches have shown that there are a couple Duplicolor that have been claimed to be exact match, or damn close.
You could take this opportunity to do something funky fresh.

Thanks WeeYari. I emailed Toyota Canada. I did once get the paint code for the alloy wheels on my Dodge Grand Caravan, but I think I got that too by contacting Chrysler. Any chance you know the Duplicolor paint codes/names? I'm pretty sure the Duplicolor paints are lacquers, so I'd have to check that my urethane clear coat could top that paint.

Ordered about 1/2L of the paint - 2K urethane. Should be here by Monday. I have lots of clear coat. Hoping to be done by mid next week.
Wheels are degreased - several times - small scratches sanded out, small dings filled with filler. A couple more wet sand sessions and on goes the primer, base and clear. All I have to do when they're done is find someone who will guarantee that they won't scratch them up mounting and balancing the tires.
Wheels are almost ready for primer.

This is the closest I'll get to a lowered Yaris for a while. 14" winter rims and tires. Hoping to have the alloys painted and back on the car late next week. Away for a few days so won't be able to get at it as soon as my paint gets in.

I'm so boring. Just the 1C8 Lunar Mist. Should have gone with a black metallic. And satin black racing stripes.

Haha. No, there won't be any black wheels on my Yaris. For interest sake, if you were going to repaint yours, would you opt for stock silver, or another color? I welcome anyone to state their preferred wheel cover, if so inclined.

Stock silver would be my preference with those wheels.

Thanks Kimona! There is surprising little orange peel. Low pressure, slightly narrower spray pattern and wet coats seems to work best with my gun. I didn't paint the barrels. I did sand them and I'll paint them flat black with a brush. Can't wait to get them on the car. 2 days baking in the sun, then Friday I'm taking them to a shop that installs new aftermarket wheels on new trucks for the dealers. They charge the same as any other garage.

Great. You want a competent installer with the proper equipment, so you don't scratch your newly painted wheels. Make sure the paint is hard. Don't rush it.

Absolutely. I was hoping for a warm sunny day today so I could let them bake. Unfortunately, it's calling for showers. Tomorrow looks better though.

Polished wheels. These will bake in the sun today and go on the car tomorrow. I laid the clear on good and thick so they should be quite durable.

Excellent work. Have you got new rubber going on your wheels?

Thanks! I have a set of 195/60R15 with about 9/32 tread left. These were the tires I bought used and had installed on my other Yaris. I like the slightly wider tire and thought it would look best on the RS. Will post pics tomorrow.

195/60/15's are a good fitment. Waiting for the photos.

I agree. I'm pretty sure that there will be no rubbing issues with the Penguin 13mm spacers and the 195's. I was running the 185/65R15 Michelins on the RS and there still looked to be some room. I have a 9:30AM appointment tomorrow. Hopefully they won't have an issue putting the 195's on a 5.5" wheel. I know some places won't install much other than what's posted on the door jamb.

For you, sir.
My camera lens does not really convey the width of the tires. They do seem wider in person. I really wish they made this alloy in 16" and a tad wider. The installer did cause one very small ding in the clearcoat near the center cap, but I mixed up a couple drops of clear and filled it. I expect that if the clearcoat had been fully cured, that may not have happened. Will sand and buff out later. Absolutely no damage to the edges of the rims. Overall, a pretty good installation, IMO.
