I am in the process of replacing my starter on 2002 1.5L Echo and found that the little plastic cover (shown in photo on left) that goes over the missing segment of flywheel housing (photo on right) that the starter bolts to is broken. Looking for the part number. Anyone know what the part number is? Looks like this is needed to keep stuff from getting into the starter and flywheel area.

Thanks!

http://www.toyodiy.com/ and https://parts.toyota.com/ are my two go to sites for parts..

Double check, but I my guess that you're looking for is p/n: 33117-52030 - assuming you have an automatic transmission, as I didn't find anything similar under the MT.

Thanks for checking Adam! Not sure that is same part I am looking for. Hard to tell from the diagram, but it looks like 33117-52030 has a bolt that attaches it to the housing. Part I am looking for snaps into place.

There's a video on youtube showing part at 3:00. It appears to attach to the engine housing and not the transmission housing - though it's hard to tell. I'll have to take another look at it on car tomorrow.

After some more searching, might be 11363-21010, COVER, FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE.

Hey, no problem. Glad you double checked - going by description and the pictures is kinda tough. From the p/n description and pictures via Google that looks like you're on the money.
