The throttle will stick at idle, with no help pushing peddle and then suddenly accelerate briefly. Any ideas?

Butterfly valve = Throttle Body.
There are some youtube videos describing this nicely, even for yaris. Not to mention the topics in this forum.
But the location depends on the engine you have.
